Meranda was born in Washington state. She grew up as a part of a Navy family and spent time in Guam and Hawaii before landing in Seattle. She attended the University of Washington, where she got an English degree. Eventually she started working for the library.

She liked the idea of being an author at a young age but didn't really pursue it until 2022 when she wrote her first novel that she is still editing. She loves flash fiction competitions and fondly remembers Avidgamers. She's always interested in finding others who remember that website.

She currently lives with her ancient cat, Beowulf.
